In addition to her current role (since 1991) as the owner/manager of Full Moon Farm in Oregon City, Jane has trained with a variety of respected equestrian professionals, including a two-year apprenticeship under Susan Harris (equestrian author and clinician in Cortland, NY), and a year as a working student under Nancy Lindroth (USA Team competitor, and judge/clinician in Southern Pines, NC). Rebecca Buehler – Combined Training and Equine Care

FarmHill is delighted to announce the addition of Rebecca Buehler to our training team. Rebecca brings to us a rare combination of jump and dressage experience that is perfectly suited to FarmHill’s integrated training program. She is currently riding and training the FarmHill horses whose owners would like to improve their performance over jumps and on the flat. Rebecca also provides a variety of equine care to the FarmHill horses, including medicating, leg-wrapping, hand-walking, clipping, and bathing, so that their owners have more time for riding and pampering their horses.
Rebecca has earned her stripes working at several important training barns, including Jim Dahlquist’s hunter/jumper program at Ringside Farm, Anna Collier’s eventing program at Vossenberg Farm, and the Yorkshire Riding Centre in Harrogate, England.
Having achieved both her ‘A’ rating from the U.S. Pony Club and her Stage 3 Exam in the British Horse Society, Rebecca is currently a regional instructor with the U.S. Pony Club (Oregon Region), and she also brings us the benefit of her experience working as an equine veterinary assistant with one of our favorite FarmHill vets.

Over the past ten years, Rebecca has bought, trained, and sold numerous horses as eventing prospects. She has greatly enjoyed acquiring young horses, teaching them to jump 3’ to 4’ courses, training them to the First or Second Level of dressage, and then placing each of them with a rider whose goals and skills are suited to their training. As Rebecca says, “I love to see these prospect horses continue on to homes where they are loved and able to teach their riders many new things.”
Recently, Rebecca decided that she wanted to keep a horse and go farther with him, so she acquired her current horse, Brighton, off the track. After devoting considerable time and expertise to his training, she hopes to event him at the Intermediate level in the coming year.
Rebecca offers FarmHill the benefits of her combined skills as a jump and dressage rider and trainer, and her expertise in all aspects of equine care. We consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have Rebecca as a member of our FarmHill training team! Contact Rebecca directly to arrange for her to exercise, train, or provide other care for your horse at FarmHill.
Amy Ruge Jump Clinics

FarmHill is honored to offer jump clinics with the highly respected trainer and instructor, Amy Ruge. Jumping horses, and teaching jumping to horses and riders, have all been passions for Amy since the beginning of her career.
Amy rode through her Junior years with Kathy Kerron of Sunwood Farm, and during that time she also had the good fortune to participate in clinics with the legendary Gene Lewis. Since then, Amy has regularly ridden in and/or attended clinics with John Turner, George Morris, Ronnie Beard, Jeff Cook, and Joan Curtain. Turning professional in 1998, Amy spent the next eight years running her own training business, as well as working for other trainers such as Vicki Zacharias of Raincreek Farm, Leslie Bierley of Tile Valley Farm, and Julia Kubicek when she owned Farmhill.
In 2006, Amy established Skyview Farm, where she specialized in teaching and training hunters, jumpers, and equitation. Amy’s Skyview clients went on to see great success in and out of the show ring, becoming regular recipients of the awards granted by the OHJA (Oregon Hunter Jumper Association), as well as qualifying for USEF finals such as Pony, Junior Hunter Championships, USET West Coast Finals, and USEF Zone Finals. Amy’s horses and riders have competed at all levels, ranging from Short Stirrup to Mini Prix.
Amy is most inspired in her teaching of riders by watching people feel successful in their riding and jumping. In her work training horses, it is paramount to Amy that the horse understands the rider’s intended questions, and that it feels it is able to supply the answers. Amy also feels it is essential that her riders know what it is they are asking of their horses. Her belief that people really do want to learn to ride their horses well is what motivates Amy to work as deeply and patiently as possible with the horses and riders in her program.
We are thrilled to have Amy as a member of our jump training staff at FarmHill Equestrian Center, LLC. If you are interested in participating in a clinic with Amy, please contact Barbara.
